Students Go Behind the Scenes at Iconic London Pub
Hospitality and Catering Level 2 students from New City College, who train at OKN1, visited the famous Anchor pub on Bankside, London.
Owned by Greene King, one of the UK’s largest pub and hospitality companies, The Anchor offered our Level 2 Culinary learners a valuable glimpse into a busy, professional hospitality environment.
The visit allowed them to see how another hospitality venue operates, from kitchen processes and menu planning to large-scale service and customer experience. The trip directly supports key units in their qualification, helping them broaden their understanding of how different hospitality settings function.
Experiences like this are a core part of what we do on our hospitality and catering courses at New City College, giving aspiring chefs the confidence, insight and inspiration they need to thrive in their future careers.
