What are student takeovers?

Student takeovers at OKN1 are one-night dining events where student chefs design and lead a unique restaurant experience, showcasing their culture, style, and culinary voice. These events will run from January - May 2026.

  • These events can be booked like any other dinner reservation. They run from January to July 2026 on selected dates. Please view our events page to see upcoming dates and book your place.

  • Student takeover events take place from January to July during the academic year. They are usually held on Thursday evenings on a fortnightly basis. As dates vary, please check our events page and book your place.

  • These events are run by our 16–18 and adult learners as part of their course assessments. By attending, you are directly supporting our students—the next generation of chefs.   • These events are competitively priced, averaging £25–35 for a three-course meal or £30–40 for a tasting menu per person.
